He also had the opportunity of attending the activities of one the most significant flamenco clubs in Andalusia, the Peña Flamenca Torres-Macarena in Seville. Alfonso has toured extensively throughout the USA, Latin America, Israel, and Europe, and has just toured Spain last February of 2018 with the Jazz/Flamenco band New Bojaira by pianist Jesús Hernández from Granada, Spain.Laura Peralta, the dancer, started her classical music and dance studies at the age of eight. She studied at the Manhattan School of Music for ten years as a piano major and graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University, beginning her flamenco studies with Omayra Amaya upon returning to New York. Laura has performed in New York and throughout the U.S. with companies including Juan Siddi Flamenco Theatre Company in New Mexico, Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana in their national tour and season at the Joyce Theater, Pasión y Arte in Rosario Toledo’s Cómplices at Jacob’s Pillow, and with Soledad Barrio and Noche Flamenca in their national tour and production of Antigona. Laura also co-choreographed and performed a piece selected for the 2015 Queensboro Dance Festival.Julia Patinella is a multilingual singer who currently resides between Seville, Spain and Brooklyn, NY. Through years of travel between Spain and Latin America, she developed as a Flamenco singer with a unique affinity for "Cantes de Ida y Vuelta" or "roundtrip songs" - subgenres born through the circular migrations of peoples between Spain, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Julia has studied Cante Flamenco at the Fundacion Cristina Hereen de Arte Flamenco in Seville, Spain as a recipient of the American Friends scholarship in 2011 and 2012. She performs regularly, in the U.S. and Europe, both in traditional Flamenco as well as original Flamenco - jazz fusion projects. Julia's past collaborations as vocalist/arranger include Flamenco Nomadico, Flamenco Trio Noche Blanca, Southern Italian Folk Project with her group Quartetto Matapena, Cuban Son with Mi Le lo Lai, traditional Afro - Colombian music with Grupo Chonta, and Classical Arabic music with the New York Arabic Orchestra. Her greatest musical influences are La Niña de Los Peines, Spain and Chavela Vargas, Mexico.Andreas Arnold, guitarist, as an artist in a globalized world, Andreas Arnold expresses himself through a musical kaleidoscope that reflects the classical traditions of his homeland Germany, jazz from the US where he has been living for the last decade, and music from the Mediterranean, in particular, the Spanish art form of flamenco. While living between New York City and Andalusia, Spain, Arnold has participated in numerous productions as an instrumentalist, composer, improviser, and producer, touring on five continents. Arnold grew up in a family of classical musicians in southern Germany. He fell in love with Paco de Lucia as a teenager but went on to study jazz guitar at the conservatory of Amsterdam and later in NYC with Mike Stern, John Abercrombie, and Wayne Krantz before entering a period of complete dedication to the art of flamenco guitar. To date, Arnold has released four albums of original electric and acoustic music under his name. His latest album is titled “Odisea”.
