Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by attending a live performance by Nueva York Flamenco City. El cante (song), el toque (guitar playing) and el baile (dance) are the three elements of el arte flamenco or the Flamenco Art Form. This performance encompasses these three elements creating the atmosphere of a Flamenco Show in Andalusia, in the South of Spain.

Three Artists representing those elements will take the audience in a journey in time and space where they will be able to experience this culture, the poetry of the lyrics, the beauty of the movements and the excitement of the music and rhythms of Flamenco. Nueva York Flamenco City brings us Dancer Elisabet Torras, Guitarist Adrián Alvarado and Singer/Flute player Alfonso Cid.

Elisabet Torras Aguilera was born and raised in Barcelona. Since 2013 Elisabet has been performing in New York City and the Tristate Area with New York-based Flamenco Companies, such as Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana, American Bolero Dance Company, A Palo Seco and Soledad Barrio & Noche Flamenca.

Adrián Alvarado is Spanish-Brazilian Guitarist, Composer and Arranger and a very versatile Guitarist, with a solid career as a Soloist, Session Musician, as well as Sideman for many Artists in the Flamenco Scene, Jazz and Brazilian Music. Alfonso Cid was born and raised in Sevilla, the heartland of Flamenco Music.

Alfonso has performed at Carnegie Hall's Weill Hall, Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival, Town Hall, London's Royal Albert Hall, and Sala Covarrubias in Mexico City, among many others. He is also a Recording Artist and has produced several Albums with his own Project “Gazpacho Andalú” with his latin rock band “Dientes de Caramelo” and recently with the Jazz/Flamenco Band “New Bojaira”.
